Responsibilities
As a groomer, you will be responsible for:
● Providing professional grooming services for dogs and/or cats
● Bathing, drying, brushing, and de-shedding
● Nail trims and basic hygiene services
● Breed-specific haircuts and styling
● Scissoring and finishing work
● Properly handling and safely restraining pets throughout the grooming process
● Evaluating each pet’s coat, skin, temperament, and overall condition
● Communicating concerns such as matting, skin abnormalities, parasites, injuries, or other issues to management and clients when appropriate
● Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area
● Safely operating and maintaining grooming equipment
● Providing compassionate, patient care to every pet
● Following salon safety procedures and grooming standards
● Working as part of a team and helping maintain a positive salon environment
● Taking pride in the quality of your work and the experience you provide for both pets and their owners
