Job Description
This position focuses on providing comprehensive services for children (birth to age 17) who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence. The role combines direct client services, case management, advocacy, community outreach, documentation, and collaboration with parents, schools, counselors, and community agencies to support children's safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess children's developmental, emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate services and activities.
- Provide advocacy and support for children and their parents.
- Coordinate referrals to counseling, parenting classes, child abuse prevention programs, and other community resources.
- Facilitate individual, group, and parent-child activities.
- Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and reports.
- Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and shelter staff.
- Participate in community outreach, public speaking, and educational events.
- Transport clients as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working with children, families, and individuals affected by domestic violence or trauma.
- Knowledge of child development and community resources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential records and prepare reports.
- Valid Georgia driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
- Ability to pass criminal background, drug, and health screenings.
- Flexibility for occasional travel, extended hours, and physical tasks such as moving donated furniture.
Pay: $33,280.00 - $37,440.00 per year
