Job Summary: The Mobile Pantry Driver will be responsible for transporting products and food boxes to our rural communities. They will organize the volunteers and maintain order and efficiency at Mobile Pantry Distributions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for being a representative of the Food Bank and will facilitate distributions in a respectful, no-judgmental manner.
· Responsible for pulling orders from the warehouse, loading MP truck, and delivering product to scheduled sites.
· Oversee MP distribution process with emphasis on client safety and proper food handling.
· Maintains quality control of product before distribution to public.
· Maintains positive working relationships with Site Coordinators, volunteers, and clients, while acting as a leader, and making decisions that are in the best interest of the Food Bank.
· Keep up with routine truck maintenance and keep the assigned truck clean from shipment debris.
· Report on any vehicle operating problems to the operations manager.
· Works with all staff in a team-oriented manner and abides by the organizational values of the food bank.
· Ensure civil rights training is kept up to date annually. Obtain and keep serv safe certification up to date.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Education: High School Diploma or GED.
· Experience:
- At least 2 years in driving delivery trucks.
· Skills:
- Ability to work independently and supervise diverse volunteer groups.
- Good interpersonal skills and comfortable engaging in conversations.
- Must have experience with driving a box truck and/or a larger vehicle (CDL required).
- Must be able to lift and move heavy boxes.
- Prior experience driving delivery trucks.
- Experience with the use of a pallet jack, forklift and a baler machine is preferred
- Must pass a Background Check and drug screening
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with a Class A CDL and an acceptable driving record to meet insurance recommendations.

· Physical Requirements:
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
- Must be able to lift 25+ pounds at times.
