Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Pastry Chef Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will support the pastry chef in crafting beautiful desserts, assisting with food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your enthusiasm for baking and food presentation will help elevate our pastry offerings and delight our guests.
Duties
- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries with precision and care
- Support cake decorating efforts to create visually appealing confections for special occasions
- Handle packaging of baked items efficiently while maintaining product freshness and presentation
- Contribute to food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality pastries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards
- Support food handling procedures during preparation, cooking, and storage activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pastry preparation or baking is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with baking techniques required
- Knowledge of cake decorating, food handling, and food safety protocols essential
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts
