Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures.
- Assist our specialists with patient care in surgery, post ops, consults, etc.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support patient assessment.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Open Dental and ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental history in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures for billing purposes, and maintaining organized medical records.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of periodontics preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using Dental Practice Management Software such as Open Dental
- Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to perform dental assisting duties confidently while maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilization practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and general healthcare to support comprehensive patient care.

Work Schedule: Tues & Wed 7:30am-5:00pm
Location: Rochester
Pay: $25.63 - $30.86 per hour
