Starting with Fridays 7am-12pm and adding either a Monday or Thursday in the future from 8am-5pm.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services including prophylaxis (cleanings), fluoride treatments, sealants, and periodontal therapy.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
- Assist with dental procedures in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough dental terminology understanding and patient assessments.
- Manage medical records efficiently within EMR systems, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office environment.
- Familiarity with dental office software such as Dentrix and Dexis for scheduling, charting, and record keeping.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and HIPAA regulations to ensure proper documentation and confidentiality.
