Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced Pizza Shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This role requires a strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Experience in the food industry is a plus, as you will also assist with food preparation and sanitation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing payments for food and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the café area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Utilize POS system for order entry and transaction processing.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers or point-of-sale systems
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in food preparation and sanitation practices is a plus.
