Whiskey Prime is a high-end steakhouse and bistro in "The Pass," specializing in exquisite steaks, fresh seafood, and a unique flair on other creole-inspired dishes. We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and dedicated restaurant server to join and support our team and deliver unparalleled service to our deserving customers.
Hours: Our doors are open Thursday 5pm to 9pm; Friday and Saturday 5pm to 10pm; and Sunday 5pm to 9pm. The ideal candidate would be available to reliably work any of these shifts as needed, and also assume any shifts from other serving staff.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor, making them feel valued and comfortable throughout their dining experience.
- Become familiarized with our menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairings, and more, assisting guests in deciding orders.
- Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of upscale dining etiquette, service standards, and proper table settings, ensuring a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere.
- Provide attentive and personalized service to each guest, anticipating their needs and preferences to deliver a seamless dining experience.
- Take precise food and beverage orders, entering them accurately into the POS system, and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
- Offer recommendations on seasonal specials and promotions, while upselling additional items to enhance the dining experience.
- Address any guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally, resolving issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area before, during, and after dinner service. This includes polishing glassware and silverware, folding napkins, vacuuming, and ensuring immaculate table setups.
- Collaborate with both the ground team and kitchen to create a cohesive and harmonious team environment, supporting each other in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a server in a high-end dining establishment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including wine service and cocktail preparation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact gracefully with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-speed environment.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, select holidays, and also undertaking coworkers' shifts who will not be able to come in.
