Growing engineering firm has a newly created opening for a Procurement Manager. This position will allow you to work on projects that are heavily involved with custom mechanization for iconic structures. Direct hire position with very competitive benefits!
Duties:
- Build/own external supplier network
- Develop reliable base of fabrication and machine shops
- Negotiate agreements with vendors
- Work with project leads, engineers, quality and leadership to match project scope
- Serve as primary point of contact with external suppliers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Experience in the fabricated steel, machined components, weldments, and/or mechanical assemblies industries
- Strong negotiation skills (pricing, lead times, terms and conditions, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic travel- visiting suppliers and vendors)
Salary: $110-160K
