The Bridge Tavern will be venturing into opening more days in the near future, so flexible schedules are encouraged, but in return we are also flexible with your schedule.
Job Overview
As a Back of House Team Member, you will play a crucial role in our culinary operations, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. We have 2 positions available, one being our Dishwashing/Kitchen Staff position, and the other being a line cook. Both positions work well with each other, and have similar responsibilities and duties. Help prepare and execute busy lunch and dinner service right in the heart of Downtown Wheeling!
Responsibilities for both positions
- Prepare soups, appetizers and entrees for lunch and dinner shifts.
- Unload deliveries from food service providers.
- Help prepare catered events by setting up and tearing down heating trays and other essential catering items.
- Work on the line with our other cooks to ensure a quick and fluid lunch and dinner service.
- Clean dishes as servers bring them from the front of house.
- Mop floors, prep bathrooms for customer use.
- General Lobby and restaurant cleaning and maintenance
- Keeping the kitchen and surrounding areas clean throughout and after the shift.
- Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
- Food handlers certification.
- Experience in using Flat top grills, deep fryers and salad stations. Open to new, trainable applicants, but previous work experience will result in higher compensation.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
