About us:
Newport Classic Yacht Co is a private charter boat company based in Newport Harbor. We are currently seeking 1-2 full time Captains for the summer to join our team! The captain will be accompanied by a deckhand to entertain and serve guests. The boat, Temma is a 42’ single screw wooden motor yacht with a 10’ beam. Please be prepared to speak to your experience with single screw vessels.
The Boat operates out of Sail Newport and typically runs 8-12 hours per day. This captains position is for full or part time. The position starts ASAP (must be able to see the boat within a week) and will provide orientation and training days before starting. Tips are far above average and extremely generous.
Requirements are:
- 50 ton min USCG captains license
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and enthusiastic with guests - must be a people person!
- Ensuring the utmost safety for crew and guests on board.
- Ensuring that all operations are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the vessel.
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers - this charter is very conversational and intimate with our guests!
- Run private charters such as harbor tours, custom private cruises, and weddings, and photo shoot charters.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
