Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Head Server/Manager to lead our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This pivotal role combines leadership, customer service excellence, and operational oversight to ensure smooth restaurant operations and outstanding guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a strong background in food service management, and the ability to motivate and train staff to perform at their best. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee daily restaurant functions, manage staff, and uphold high standards of food safety and service quality.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders, and host staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient shift management, timely food service, and excellent customer interactions.
- Train staff on food handling, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, customer service protocols, and safety procedures.
- Manage inventory control processes for food, beverages, and supplies to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations through regular training and inspections.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, quality control, and special event catering or banquet services.
- Support hiring efforts by interviewing candidates and assisting in staff onboarding and ongoing development initiatives.
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics to meet budget goals while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service & fast-food restaurants or fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising diverse teams.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and culinary standards; culinary or hospitality management background preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety regulations, and health standards in the food industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Experience in managing shift schedules, budgeting responsibilities, and operational logistics within a restaurant setting.
