Imaging Transporter
Position Summary
Responsible for safely transporting ED patients to and from Imaging. Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
- Physically transfers patients from bed to gurney or bed to wheelchair utilizing proper lift assist techniques and equipment
- Communicates with clinical staff, patients and co-workers
- Safely transfers ED patient to and from imaging
- Hooks patients back up to monitoring system i.e. O2, Cardiac leads, Blood Pressure, Pulse ox
- Assists patients to restroom if needed
- Assists infection prevention to always maintain a safe environment
- Assists the technologists with turning over rooms i.e. wiping down equipment, changing sheets, and ensuring blanket warmer is stocked
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified, preferred
- MOAB Certification during General Orientation
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to move or traverse with/without accommodation
- Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
- Typical equipment used in a facilities job
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals, acids, cleaning solution, disinfectants, soaps, etc
