Position Summary
Flight Power is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee all production operations within our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This leadership role is responsible for managing production schedules, coordinating departmental resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational excellence throughout the organization.
The Production Manager will work closely with Production Leads, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership to ensure efficient workflow, timely delivery, and compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements. This position plays a critical role in developing team members, improving processes, and supporting the continued growth and success of Flight Power.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all daily production activities within the repair station.
- Manage and support Production Leads, ensuring accountability, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping, and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Ensure all production activities are performed in compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements.
- Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Establish and maintain quality standards while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review staffing needs and allocate resources to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management of production personnel.
- Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and operational reporting.
- Support internal and external audits, customer inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans supporting company growth and operational scalability.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Leadership Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+years of leadership experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, aviation maintenance organization, aerospace manufacturing environment, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, Part 145 requirements, quality systems, and airworthiness standards.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred.
- Proven experience managing production teams, supervisors, and leads.
- Experience working within highly regulated aviation environments.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and process improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and production reporting tools.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations, Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), and company policies.
- Support FAA audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and operational requirements.
- Work closely with the Accountable Manager and Quality Manager to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk the production floor and inspect work areas regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 55 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and aviation maintenance environment.
