What You’ll Do
As the Resident Care Coordinator, you will serve as a key operational support partner to the Resident Care Director and leadership team. You’ll help coordinate staffing, support resident service operations, assist with onboarding and administrative processes, and ensure smooth day-to-day communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Scheduling Coordination
- Coordinate daily staffing schedules for Resident Assistants, Medication Technicians, and direct care staff
- Manage call-offs and assist with securing shift coverage
- Maintain schedules, PTO requests, and staffing adjustments
- Monitor overtime and staffing trends and communicate concerns to leadership
Resident Care & Service Coordination
- Support admissions, discharges, and resident transfers
- Coordinate communication with hospice providers, pharmacies, and external partners
- Assist with non-clinical care coordination and service updates
- Promote effective shift-to-shift communication for continuity of care
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain organized resident documentation and records
- Assist with incident tracking and reporting processes
- Support survey readiness and regulatory documentation
- Provide front office and phone support as needed
Leadership & Team Support
- Assist with onboarding coordination and training logistics
- Support payroll/timecard review processes
- Help maintain staffing and operational reports
- Serve as a communication liaison between departments, staff, and families
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare or senior living environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in senior living, personal care, assisted living, or healthcare
- Previous scheduling, staffing coordination, or administrative support experience
- Associate degree or coursework in healthcare administration, business, or related field
Certifications
- Medication Administration Certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- CPR/AED & First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of hire)
