This position works in support of a comprehensive career and technical education program. Coordinator participates in curriculum development and staff development.

Provide instructional leadership for Career and Technical Education programs.

Promote co-curricular student organizations.

Provide targeted assistance and resources to classroom teachers to ensure high-quality program delivery and student engagement.

Coordinate the development, implementation, and revision of assigned course curriculum and instructional resources.

Conduct and coordinate in-service training for Career and Technical Educational teachers.

Work individually with Career and Technical Education teachers and Communities of Practice to improve instruction.

Provide effective public relations and communication within the program and community.

Make regular and upon request on-site classroom visits.

Serve on the Stafford School’s Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee.
Education Attainment (Required):
Bachelor's degree
Education Attainment (Preferred):
Masters degree
Relevant Experience (Required):
Three (3) years of successful teaching in a secondary classroom experience
Relevant Experience (Preferred):
Industry Licensure or Certifications (Required):
Industry Licensure or Certifications (Preferred):
Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with teaching experience in one or more Career and Technical Education program areas.

Knowledge of varied curriculum delivery systems.

Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs at both the local and state levels.

Knowledge of Instructional technology applications.

Possess leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, parents, community, and business leaders.

Coordinate solutions and solve any issues that may arise.
