Lindemann Chimney offers a structured fabrication career path with opportunities for advancement. Depending on experience, technical skills, and demonstrated abilities, candidates may begin as a Warehouse Associate or as a Fabricator Specialist at Level I, II, or III. Compensation is based on the level at which the candidate is hired.
- Warehouse Associate: Entry-level position for candidates developing foundational warehouse and fabrication skills.
- Fabricator Specialist I: Developing fabricator with basic proficiency in fabrication tools, equipment, and production processes.
- Fabricator Specialist II: Experienced fabricator capable of completing advanced work with limited supervision.
- Fabricator Specialist III: Highly skilled fabricator who consistently completes complex work and demonstrates advanced knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment.

Position Summary
Lindemann Chimney is seeking dependable, detail-oriented candidates to produce custom chimney products, including chimney caps, covers, and other fabricated metal components.
In this hands-on position, you will bend, cut, weld, grind, and assemble light-gauge stainless steel, aluminum, and copper using fabrication machinery and hand tools. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, follows directions and established processes, and can work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a productive team environment.
Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, efficiency, and meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom chimney products according to work orders, blueprints, specifications, and established procedures.
- Review assigned orders before beginning production to confirm that all required information is complete and accurate.
- Cut, bend, weld, grind, shape, and assemble light-gauge stainless steel, aluminum, and copper.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality throughout the fabrication process.
- Inspect completed products and correct quality issues when necessary.
- Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
- Use materials efficiently, including prioritizing suitable scrap metal when possible.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate with managers and coworkers about production orders, materials, consumable supplies, machinery, and tools.
- Maintain working knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment.
- Manage time effectively and meet assigned production goals.
- Work collaboratively with division managers, team leads, and other manufacturing employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic math skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to accurately read blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and combination square.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and established production processes.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
- Willingness and ability to learn multiple manufacturing processes.
- Previous metal fabrication or welding experience is preferred.

Work Schedule and Bonus Opportunity
Overtime may be available based on production needs and may occasionally be required.
