American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.

Acute care hospital setting with 562 staffed beds
-
Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab unit
-
4x12 or 3x12 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
-
On-call required as needed, rotating with staff and agency, with a dedicated call team

No floating required outside of scope

Uses Cerner charting system
-
13-26 week assignment length, flexible
-
Minimum 1 year of experience required

ACLS and BLS certification required
-
ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (ARRT-R preferred); license required if applicable

AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
-
Active Illinois license required at time of submission

Cerner charting experience required

Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings required

Proficiency in cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy required

Skilled in equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulating, and sterile field scrubbing required

Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required

Must work with middle and older adult patient populations

Facility is a Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated hospital

Scrubs provided

Free parking with permit obtained during orientation

First-time travelers accepted

Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction

Previous perm or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler

RTO ideally no more than 5 days

Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays

Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
