BARC Developmental Services is a non-profit agency serving Bucks County Pennsylvania individuals with disabilities and families since 1951. We are currently hiring for the direct support professional position for in home care in Perkasie Bucks County Come join us!
We are currently offering a $1500 Sign On Bonus for all newly hired Full-Time Staff. To be paid incrementally during the first year of employment. Plus 12 paid Holidays, paid vacation, and benefits. The NEW Rate for the Direct Care Support Associate is $19.00-$19.63 per hour based on amount of experience in Human Service-related positions.
The DSP/ Direct Support Associates are responsible to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in meeting their needs in daily tasks, including personal hygiene, direct care, and working with our supported individuals in our residential homes. Direct support professionals act as role models and provide assistance through home care, while implementing our Individuals' support plans. Program safety, support plans, and documentation are daily job requirements. This position works hours daily or 3pm-11pm with alternating weekends. This is a full time, benefited position - 40 hours per week. Great opportunity to start your career!
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED
· Must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for driving position
· Must have had a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and have an acceptable driving record according to agency policy.
· Some previous experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities helpful
· Good communication skills and computer experience
· Background checks are done on all applicants
