Key Responsibilities Include:
- Remove and dispose of trash and relieve laundry staff as needed, and perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Interact appropriately with residents, clients, other personnel, your supervisor and the public.
- Respond to customer preferences, comply with industry and federal and state guidelines, and meet the needs of residents.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is maintained. Follow proper reporting, isolation and handwashing procedures/techniques.
- Wash, dry fold and hang laundry
- Label residents' clothing
- Return residents' laundry within 8 to 24 hours
- Daily cleaning the laundry department, sanitizing the washers and dryers, emptying the trash, sweep and mop
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required- experience in housekeeping or healthcare settings is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are a must.
