Performs skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of County bridges. Repairs parapets, decks, sidewalks, caps, piles, approach slabs, slope protection, and drainage structures. Builds and installs forms; pours and finishes concrete; repairs wooden, steel, and concrete handrails, which include steel tying and placement as needed. Installs and repairs roadway guardrails and end anchorage assemblies. Transports materials and tools to job sites; loads and unloads materials and tools. Cuts grass and vegetation away from rails and guardrails.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of experience in building construction AND concrete forming/placing/finishing or commercial/residential painting.
PREFERENCE FOR: Experience with bridge/marine construction (must specify on application); valid FL Class B CDL.
