Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. Duties
- Lead all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth daily functioning.
- Oversee inventory control, food safety management, and adherence to health regulations to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, culinary quality, and kitchen staff training to uphold excellence in food service.
- Implement staff training programs focused on customer service, food handling, food safety protocols, and team leadership to enhance staff performance.
- Conduct shift management by scheduling staff efficiently, monitoring performance, and ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours.
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue growth while maintaining quality standards.
- Foster a hospitality-driven environment by ensuring exceptional customer service experiences that promote guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Lead hiring efforts through interviewing candidates for various roles such as servers, cooks, bartenders, and assistant managers to build a strong team.
- Develop strategies for catering events or banquet services if applicable, expanding the restaurant’s offerings and revenue streams.
Experience
- Proven management experience in quick service or fast food restaurants with a strong background in food industry operations.
- Extensive hands-on experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated success in supervising teams within casual dining or fine dining settings; experience managing hospitality teams is highly valued.
- Strong background in food safety management, inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis.
- Experience with kitchen management including food preparation, culinary techniques, and food production standards.
- Prior roles involving staff training & development, shift management, customer service excellence, and managing hospitality teams.
- Knowledge of catering or banquet services is a plus; experience working within hotel or large-scale hospitality environments is advantageous.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive operational success in a fast-paced environment.
