Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bander Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating banding machines to securely package products for shipment, ensuring that items are properly wrapped and labeled according to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial equipment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Duties
- Operate banding machines to securely package products in accordance with specified packaging requirements
- Inspect finished packages for quality, proper labeling, and adherence to safety standards
- Utilize hand tools and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills to resolve machine issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety protocols
- Use forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods within the warehouse or production area
- Assist in setting up machinery for different packaging runs and perform routine maintenance checks
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), during daily operations
- Support warehouse activities by preparing products for shipment and verifying order accuracy
- Document production data accurately and report any discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience operating banding machines or similar packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial machinery and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and warehouse handling procedures
- Knowledge of GMP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and safety standards in production settings
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and perform basic machine maintenance tasks
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, and packaging requirements
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
