The Automation Engineer Apprenticeship program offers an extensive paid training in the TechnicalEngineering field. Participants seeking an exciting career as an AutomationEngineer gain valuable skills through a combination of 12 weeks of classroominstruction and on-the-job learning that prepares them to join our account fora world-class leader. What You’ll Do
‒ Promote a safe working environment by followingall safety procedures.
‒ Solve electrical and mechanical automation issuesrelated to all material handling equipment, including PLCs, motors, photo-eyes,industrial communications, and more.
‒ Troubleshooting on repairing automated packaging anddistribution equipment.
‒ Cultivate positive working relationships with ourClient and Operations Maintenance team members.
‒ Perform other job-related duties as needed orassigned.
What You’ll Need
‒ Applicants must be currently authorized to work inUnited States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
‒ Two years of experience working in a maintenancesupport role.
‒ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
‒ Ability to attend a 12-week in person paid training ata designated training provider.
‒ Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Programming experience a plus.
‒ Ability to solve problems and carry out generalinstructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs,preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safetycompliance.
‒ Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirementsincluding stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with orwithout reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
‒ Ability to calculate simple figures such aspercentages.
