Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to promote catering services and increase revenue streams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring personalized service and satisfaction throughout the planning process.
- Conduct detailed event consultations to understand client needs, budget constraints, and desired outcomes, then craft tailored proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize profitability while delivering value to clients.
- Coordinate with culinary, event planning, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of events from initial booking through post-event follow-up.
- Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation for each occasion.
- Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track leads, client interactions, and sales pipelines efficiently.
- Lead a team of sales associates or coordinators by providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in catering sales, event management, or hospitality industry roles such as restaurant or hotel sales positions.
- Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to upsell services and secure profitable contracts.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and exceptional customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with familiarity with event management software and CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high organizational standards.
- Experience managing event budgets and understanding financial aspects of catering operations.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, contract negotiations, and catering logistics is highly desirable.
- Leadership qualities with experience managing teams or coordinating cross-departmental efforts effectively.
- A background in hospitality—such as hotel or restaurant experience—is preferred for understanding guest services at the highest level.
