We are seeking a motivated, dependable, hardworking and skilled Garage Door Technician/Installer to join our family-owned garage door company! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of residential garage doors and openers, ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help customers enjoy secure and reliable garage solutions while providing exceptional service. Duties
- Install, repair, and replace garage doors, openers, and related hardware with precision and attention to detail
- Use hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting (75+ lbs daily) of doors, springs, panels, and other heavy components,
- Install glass panels, trim carpentry elements, fixtures, locks, and other accessories for complete door setup
- Professional attitude with customers and strong work ethic
Qualifications
- Experience with garage door installation or repair is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks (75+ lbs daily); capable of working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary
- Electrical experience for troubleshooting wiring issues in garage door openers or related systems
- Knowledge of carpentry including framing or trim carpentry are desirable but not necessary
