- Event Enthusiast: You get excited about matching volunteers to special events, working closely with leadership on fundraisers, and putting together meaningful celebrations to show our volunteers how much they are appreciated.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: While you love the social side of the job, you also understand that a great program relies on data. You have a sharp eye for documentation, maintain accurate records, and take pride in managing our volunteer database.
What You’ll Do:
- Recruit & Inspire: Serve as the primary contact for potential volunteers, utilizing your stellar interpersonal skills to bring passionate new individuals into our adoption center, resale store, and events.
- Training and Orientations: Design and host engaging training sessions and information meetings to introduce new volunteers to our culture, safety practices, and mission.
- Coordinate Special Events: Partner with the team to identify volunteer needs for exciting community events and fundraisers, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Appreciation: Organize formal and informal recognition efforts (like volunteer awards and celebrations) to maximize retention and keep morale sky-high.
- Tracking: Keep our database up-to-date, track volunteer statistics, and prepare organized monthly reports to map our program’s success.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma plus 1 to 2 years of experience in volunteer or people management.
- Strong presentation skills, you know how to command a room and connect one-on-one.
- Proven attention to detail, time management, and proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets.
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings for events.
- A profound passion for animal welfare and the mission of Paws4ever.
- Experience with shelter dogs and cats, including safe handling practices (preferred)
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
