Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Roofing Superintendent to lead and oversee roofing construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that all roofing installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. As a Roofing Superintendent, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with construction regulations. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage roofing crews on multiple construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating all phases of roofing projects.
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to interpret project requirements accurately and communicate expectations clearly to teams.
- Monitor construction site safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards and federal safety regulations; enforce safety policies consistently.
- Oversee quality control measures, inspecting work regularly to ensure adherence to design standards, building codes, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth workflow progression.
- Supervise team members’ performance, manage crew assignments, conduct safety briefings, and foster a collaborative team environment focused on excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy commercial or industrial roofing projects with a strong background in construction management.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints accurately.
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety requirements for roofing operations.
- Prior supervisory experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment; excellent managerial communication skills are essential.
