Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Front of House (FOH) Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly, promptly seating them and presenting menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail service, wine pairing, and spirits knowledge to enhance guest experience.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while maintaining accountability for cash register operations.
- Upsell menu items, beverages, and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in sales transaction processing.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and a genuine desire to enhance guest experiences.
- Basic math skills for bill calculations, tips, and inventory management; food safety and sanitation training preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and restaurant operations; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
