Pay: $16- $21.25/hour on w2
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | No Weekends
Hours: 40 hours/week
Position Overview
Laboratories is hiring Animal Care Associates for its GEMS Breed Group in Wilmington, MA. This is an entry-level, temp-to-perm opportunity with comprehensive training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide food and water and maintain clean, healthy animal environments
- Receive, inspect, and properly house incoming animals
- Perform routine health observations
- Administer medications, injections, and collect blood samples according to protocols
- Restock supplies and support daily animal-care operations
- Follow safety, quality, and animal-care procedures
Requirements
- 6+ months of work experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented attitude
- Must be local to the Wilmington, MA area
- No High School Diploma/GED required
- Must be comfortable working with animals
Important Pet Requirement
Due to animal health and biosecurity protocols, employees may be restricted from owning or regularly contacting certain animals, including mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, nonhuman primates, wild rodents, and certain related species.
Traditional domestic pets such as dogs, cats, fish, birds, ferrets, horses, cattle, sheep, and goats are permitted.
Pay: $16.00 - $21.50 per hour
