Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator and team members for running a snow blower to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of snow plowing techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various equipment effectively. The Snow Plow Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining safe roadways and properties throughout the winter season.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow trucks and other equipment to clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
- Operate snow blowers
- Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions requiring snow removal.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours worked and areas serviced.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery and performing tasks.
- Assist with landscape maintenance, including lawn care, tree trimming, and gardening during off-season periods.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain snow removal equipment effectively.
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and landscaping techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other equipment related to construction and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with horticulture practices and tree care methods.
- Ability to perform hardscape installations as needed.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems for landscape upkeep.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
