Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with Kiddie Academy curriculum standards.
- Foster social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through hands-on learning experiences.
- Supervise and engage with toddlers throughout daily routines, including meals, playground time, and transitions.
- Maintain accurate records and classroom documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Ensure compliance with all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow educators to support a positive school culture.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of Florida DCF 45-Hour Introductory Child Care Training preferred or willingness to complete within required timelines.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
- Must successfully pass all required background screening requirements.
