Summary
As a Disc Jockey at Chicago Bar & Grill, you will be the heartbeat of our vibrant nightlife, responsible for curating an exceptional musical experience for our guests. Located in Houston, this role is essential in creating memorable nights filled with dancing and enjoyment.
Responsibilities
- Select and mix music tracks to create an engaging atmosphere for patrons.
- Interact with guests to enhance their experience and encourage participation on the dance floor.
- Manage sound equipment and ensure high-quality audio throughout the venue.
- Collaborate with bar staff to coordinate music with special events or promotions.
- Adapt playlists based on crowd dynamics and feedback to maintain energy levels.
- Promote upcoming events and specials through announcements during performances.
- Maintain a clean and organized DJ booth area before, during, and after events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DJ or in a similar role within the entertainment industry.
- Located in North or Northwest Houston.
- Strong customer service skills to engage with patrons effectively.
- Excellent public speaking abilities to make announcements and interact with the audience.
- Ability to read the crowd and adjust music selections accordingly.
- Familiarity with sound equipment and mixing software is preferred.
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting associated with equipment setup is beneficial.
