Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our expanding mental health and addiction treatment team. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care—including medication management and counseling—to adult patients dealing with addiction and/or chronic pain.
The PMHNP will work primarily at our Biloxi location with occasional days at our Pascagoula clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for adult patients with addiction and chronic pain-related mental health conditions
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions consistent with best clinical practices
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, counselors, and other medical professionals to develop and implement integrated treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with legal and ethical standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Deliver care primarily in person, with some telehealth opportunities as needed
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Completion of all required postgraduate training and certification to qualify as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Mississippi
- Current non-restricted licensure as a PMHNP in the state of Mississippi
- Experience in addiction treatment, depression, anexity, or chronic pain management preferred
- Past experience with recovery programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
