The Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, palletizing, and dispatching merchandise while following established procedures, guidelines, and safety standards. This role ensures product quality, maintains warehouse efficiency, and supports overall warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect daily that all assigned equipment is in proper working condition and report any issues to the supervisor in compliance with safety standards.
- Operate order selection equipment according to established procedures.
- Select correct merchandise and verify expiration dates in compliance with FIFO guidelines.
- Accurately pick and dispatch orders while meeting daily productivity and efficiency goals.
- Properly stack and secure merchandise on pallets to ensure safe delivery to customers.
- Place completed orders in the designated staging area.
- Maintain the dispatch and work areas clean and organized at all times.
- Provide support to other warehouse areas as needed.
- Report any operational deficiencies or findings to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory counts and other assigned warehouse tasks.
- Comply with all Occupational Health, Safety, and Employee Handbook policies.
