Qualifications:

Knowledgeable of New Jersey Student Learning Standards, WIDA, and TESOL standards

Knowledgeable in best practices in Bilingual education, English as a Second Language and Sheltered English Instruction

Knowledgeable in current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles

Able to develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners

Possess the skills and knowledge to create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the development and interests of the students

Possess proven interpersonal communication skills

Familiar with ACCESS testing

Works cooperatively with subject area teachers
Certifications:

Valid New Jersey Teacher of ESL certification or eligibility, a plus

Bilingual/Bicultural Education (1480) certificate, Spanish-speaking required
Salary Range: $60,742.00 - $69,542.00 pending negotiations
