Construction Foreman - Maintenance Division
Position Summary
The Construction Foreman - Maintenance Division is responsible for supervising field crews performing landscape improvement, repair, renovation, and enhancement projects for commercial and residential properties. This position coordinates labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards.
The Foreman serves as the primary field leader and is responsible for maintaining positive client relationships, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring all work meets project specifications and company expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project & Crew Management
- Direct and supervise maintenance construction crews on enhancement and renovation projects.
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to field personnel.
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize productivity.
- Monitor project progress and adjust resources as needed to maintain schedules.
- Review project plans, specifications, and work orders with team members.
- Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
Landscape Construction & Enhancements
- Oversee installation and repair of irrigation systems.
- Manage landscape renovations, planting installations, and hardscape improvements.
- Supervise grading, drainage corrections, sod installation, and turf renovations.
- Coordinate installation of pavers, pathways, retaining walls, decorative rock, and landscape features.
- Ensure enhancement projects are completed according to customer specifications and company standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard assessments.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain safe and organized job sites.
- Report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
Client Relations
- Serve as the primary field contact for customers during projects.
- Communicate project status, schedules, and potential issues to clients and management.
- Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain a positive company image through professional appearance and conduct.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and equipment inspection logs.
- Track labor hours, materials used, and project productivity.
- Assist Project Managers with scheduling and project planning.
- Submit material requests and equipment needs in a timely manner.
- Document project progress through reports and photographs.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Operate and supervise the operation of company vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure equipment is inspected, maintained, and used properly.
- Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Monitor inventory of tools and materials on job sites.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of landscape construction, maintenance enhancement, or related construction experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and work orders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of landscape construction practices, irrigation systems, and site safety requirements.
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Irrigation certification.
- Commercial landscape experience.
- Experience with scheduling and workforce management software.
- CPR/First Aid certification.

- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate construction equipment and tools safely.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
Work Environment
- Outdoor construction and landscape sites.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and other environmental conditions.
- Travel between multiple job sites may be required.
Reporting Structure
Reports To: Maintenance Account Manager / Division Manager
Direct Reports: Crew Leaders, Laborers, Equipment Operators, and Field Technicians

Pay Range: $21 - $24 per hour (DOE)
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
