We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day nonprofit financial operations. This position will work closely with the Controller on grant compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and other accounting functions. This is an individual contributor role and does not supervise staff.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of nonprofit accounting experience, including grant accounting.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience required.
Minimum 2 years of nonprofit accounting experience required.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly account reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and vendor support.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Track grant budgets and ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements.
Assist with audits, year-end closing, and tax documentation.
Support the Controller with financial reporting, compliance, and internal control activities.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records.
Office-based position, Monday-Friday, during standard business hours.
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. may be required.
Must have access to a vehicle if occasional work-related travel is needed.
Salary: Starting at $60,000 per year
