We're looking for an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations for one of our premier senior living communities. This is an opportunity to combine culinary excellence with purpose—creating memorable dining experiences that enrich the lives of our residents every day. Our community serves 375 residents across multiple levels of care, including:
- Independent Living
- Assisted Living
- Skilled Nursing
- Memory Care
You'll oversee a talented culinary team while managing an annual food and labor volume of approximately $3.4 million across multiple dining venues, special events and catering.
What You'll Do
- Lead all culinary operations across multiple dining venues.
- Develop seasonal, resident-focused menus emphasizing quality, variety, and presentation.
- Deliver exceptional formal dining experiences while maintaining consistency in casual dining outlets.
- Plan and execute catering events, holidays, and community celebrations.
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, budgets, and cost controls.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
- Maintain staffing levels and create efficient schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and food safety standards.
- Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture built on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with leadership, residents, and families to continually elevate the dining experience.
We're Looking For Someone With
- Executive Chef experience in senior living, hotels, resorts, country clubs, healthcare, or upscale restaurants.
- Strong background in formal dining and elevated plated service.
- Proven catering and banquet experience.
- Excellent baking and pastry knowledge.
- Strong staffing, scheduling, and labor management experience.
- Experience managing food and labor budgets.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire culinary professionals.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality and creating meaningful dining experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience leading multi-outlet foodservice operations.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and senior nutrition is a plus.
