Shop Foreman
Job Summary
The Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, managing materials and tools, and ensuring efficient coordination between field and office teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting jobsite deliveries, and ensuring the shop and property are well-maintained and organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend weekly labor meetings and provide operational updates
- Receive and check in all material deliveries
- Manage South Bend shop material inventory
- Maintain the building and property, including custodial responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver materials for service and contract work
- Support jobsite deliveries, including inventorying materials and tools
- Manage and track company tools and safety equipment
- Deliver tools, materials, and safety gear as needed
- Assist with miscellaneous fleet maintenance and oversee van inventory and stocking
Preferred Qualifications
- Proactive, self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Hands-on fabrication experience
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. The ability to drive to job sites / work locations may be a requirement of this position. A motor vehicle record (MVR) check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
