Birch Healthcare Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who will also serve as our Infection Preventionist (IP). This is an exciting full-time leadership opportunity to help guide our clinical team, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest standards of resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations and staff management
Serve as the facility’s Infection Preventionist—monitoring infection control practices and ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines
Educate staff on infection prevention policies and procedures
Participate in quality assurance, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
Support onboarding, mentoring, and evaluation of nursing staff
Act as a key liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments
Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of New Hampshire
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of infection prevention principles and CDC guidelines (IP certification a plus)
Strong organizational, teaching, and communication skills
Ability to motivate and support nursing staff in a team-oriented environment
