Job Summary:
This hourly, non-exempt role supports operations by ensuring Safety, Quality, and Productivity targets are met. Key responsibilities include monitoring process parameters, addressing quality and downtime issues, supporting operators and supervisors, and ensuring all established processes are followed. The Lead Person also conducts operator training, assists with problem solving, completes line changeovers, supports equipment reliability, and maintains compliance with ISO standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety guards, systems, and equipment are operating safely at all times.
- Train operators on safe and effective operation of processes; support Supervisors and perform Leader Standard Work.
- Support NORIS system accuracy and inventory-related improvements.
- Monitor process parameters, tool settings, and cycle times to maintain quality and efficiency targets.
- Address part quality issues, including containment, correction, and validation activities.
- Support maintenance and supervisors with diagnosing downtime issues; complete root cause analysis.
- Organize and/or complete line changeovers and validate setups, gage checks, and calibration requirements.
- Manage equipment sub-materials to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Assist operators with inquiries, concerns, and best practice sharing.
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and IATF/ISO 16949 standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education / Training / Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in training, troubleshooting, or process monitoring is an advantage.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repetitively.
