Position Summary
Year- Round Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old Classroom. Candidates must be on a work study program and have at least two years of classroom experience, hold a BA in Early Childhood Education (or be close to graduation), and be actively pursuing or eligible to pursue New York State Early Childhood Education Teacher Certification.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or currently close to completing a BA in Early Childhood Education.
- Actively pursuing or eligible to pursue New York State (NYS) Early Childhood Education Teacher Certification.
- Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and colleagues.
Preferred:
- Experience working specifically with toddlers (ages 2–3).
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and support children’s developmental progress.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding their child’s growth and development.
- Supervise and collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center events.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
