GAIA is a truly grassroots, membership-funded activist network with a combined decades of canvassing experience. Our training programs are among the best in the country, and our campaigns are bold, strategic, and making real change. Founded in 2018, GAIA has launched some of the most groundbreaking campaigns in the United States and soon, the world.
Our organizers are the backbone of our work, bringing people together on the streets to build campaigns that win. G.A.I.A is a canvassers union, and as such we have built In-House campaigns that we dedicate our working hours to.
The Campaigns You’ll Work On
Ice Breakers
A hard-hitting corporate accountability campaign targeting companies that profit from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We use escalating nonviolent direct action, public pressure, and grassroots mobilization to cut corporate support for ICE.
Peoples Climate Action
A climate justice initiative organizing communities to demand systemic change for a livable future. We push for a just transition to renewable energy, community-led resilience planning, and bold climate policy rooted in equity.
Peoples Housing Collective
A movement fighting for housing as a human right. We organize tenants, demand protections for the unhoused, and challenge systems that allow displacement, rent gouging, and homelessness to persist.
What You’ll Do
- Go out into communities and speak face-to-face with the public about our campaigns.
- Fundraise to support our work, meeting and exceeding daily goals.
- Build our membership base through direct engagement and inspiring conversation.
- Represent GAIA’s mission with professionalism, passion, and integrity.
What We Offer

- Best-in-class campaign and canvassing training.
- A supportive, experienced team with a track record of winning campaigns.
- Flexible hours, part-time or full-time.
- A chance to be part of a historic grassroots movement.
Who We’re Looking For
- Passion for social justice, climate action, immigrant rights, and housing justice.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage strangers in meaningful conversation.
- Self-motivation and reliability.
