Job Summary
Join our dynamic fast paced team as a line cook and closer. We're looking for hardworking individuals who are looking to grow with our company. With opportunities to move into full time and possibly management positions available, we need someone who is a problem solver and has great customer service. The line cook position combines dish-washing, preparing food on the line, and taking orders on a POS system. We value consistency, efficiency, and a team player attitude. Ideal candidates are passionate about food, customer service orientated, physically fit (able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly), and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and outstanding customer service.
Duties
- Prepare meals for customers that are correct and consistent to the restaurant's standards.
- Wash dishes in an efficient and clean manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Create positive interactions with customers during the ordering process.
- Package orders correctly for take out customers and door dash deliveries.
- Complete daily tasks list and cleaning tasks.
Skills
- A background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant setting.
- Proficiency in dish washing and working on a food line.
- Solid communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and customers to ensure orders are correct.
- Familiarity with food industry regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and serving standards.
- The ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds), physically capable of working in a fast paced commissary style kitchen.
- Good customer service skills while taking orders and checking customers out.
The wage for this job is base pay plus average tips which comes out to $22 an hour on average, but sometimes up to $25 an hour.
