Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Update medical records
- Prepare and clean rooms and medical instruments
- Take patients to the exam rooms
- Take and record vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight and height)
- Give and explain medical results to the patients as directed by the physician
- Refill and call in prescriptions, and complete prior authorizations for selected medications
- Perform patient callbacks and voicemail duties when necessary.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in patient management software
Requirement:
- Medical assistant certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must have prior experience as a Medical Assistant
Salary:
Salary is $15 per hours
Working hours:
Monday-Thursday (8:00am-6:00pm)
This position supports one providing physician only.
- Monday–Wednesday: Patient clinic days with an average of 20 patients per day (maximum of 23 patients).
- Thursday: Dedicated to patient testing and up to 4 new patient consultations.
Front Desk
This is a full time job. This person must be able to multi-task and function in a fast pace environment while contributing to a positive environment with patients and staff. Must be able to participate in problem solving activities and be detail oriented. This job requires experience and knowledge in insurance, filing paperwork and time management. Must be able maintain professional behavior towards coworkers and patients.
Responsibilities:
- Organize fax's
- Answer Voice-messages
- Check in patients
- Check out patients
- Confirm next day appointments
- Other responsibilities will be explained in the interview
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in the medical field (Office related duties)
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Insurance knowledge is a MUST
Salary:
Salary is $14 per hours
Working hours:
Monday-Thursday (8:00am-6:00pm)
