We are looking for a passionate team member who can work in various classrooms and with various age groups ranging from Infant to PreK.
Job Purpose:
Teachers will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, fun and thriving age appropriate classroom environment.

Essential Job Duties:
- Support the Director in maintaining a quality program that upholds the standards, goals, and overall mission of UCiC.
- Build a quality and intentional early learning environment, maintain a well-functioning and safe classroom, and supervise outdoor play and nap time.
- Creatively solve problems and resolve concerns with students throughout the day, supporting fellow teachers and providing positive guidance to children.
- Perform tasks independently in a timely manner without direct supervision.
- Know and comply with the state regulations concerning a state licensed preschool, knowing specifically how it impacts day to day duties and responsibilities in the classroom.
- Represent yourself as a professional in Early Childhood Education and teacher to UCiC’s standards to students and their families.
- Communicate effectively, respectfully and in a professional manner with the leadership of UCiC including the Administrative team, teachers and other UCiC staff.
- Maintain flexibility and the ability to change direction quickly in response to a variety of situations that can occur in the classroom.
- Be attentive to each child’s progress through observation and evaluation prepare progress reports for parents twice during the academic year.
Essential Qualifications:
- Christian Commitment: Demonstrate Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Education: Completed or in process of earning a two year degree in Early Childhood education or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of two years prior experience working with children.
- Licensure/Certification (Must have the following, or be willing to obtain upon hire)
- Child/infant CPR and first aid.
- HIV and blood borne pathogen training.
- Food handlers’ card.
- Proof of negative TB skin test prior to the first day of work.
- Other certifications as deemed necessary by the state for work in a licensed Early Learning and Early Education facility.
