The primary purpose of the Income Maintenance Case Worker III position is to serve as a subject matter expert to Income Maintenance workers and assist the Income Maintenance supervisor with FNS recertification policies, procedures and eligibility determinations in NCFAST.
This position must have thorough knowledge of the NC FAST system, policy knowledge of Food and Nutrition Services.
The position involves supporting the supervisor by mentoring staff, monitoring caseloads, identifying training needs, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the unit.
This position assigns and monitors workloads to ensure equitable distribution and timely processing of recertifications and changes.
This position must Review and monitor case accuracy, timeliness, and documentation to maintain program integrity.
Serve as the point of contact for staff regarding FNS recertification procedures, troubleshooting and policy clarification.
Provides guidance to staff on complex cases and escalate issues to the supervisor when appropriate
Other duties may be assigned such as Shelter or Emergency Management duties during a disaster.
