.This position has a base compensation range of $80,000.00 to $100,000.00. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and execution of warehouse operations within a multi-customer contract logistics facility. This role oversees labor management, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, customer service performance, cost control, safety compliance, and facility maintenance.
This position ensures accurate receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of customer products while maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This position is accountable for achieving operational KPIs related to productivity, inventory accuracy, on-time performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Management
Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
Develop and maintain efficient workflows, labor plans, and work schedules to maximize operational effectiveness.
Conduct daily operational meetings and manpower planning sessions to ensure proper allocation of personnel, equipment, and warehouse space.
Monitor customer scopes of work and promptly escalate potential scope changes or service requirements to management.
Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage locations, and material flow based on product characteristics, volume, and dwell time.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Inventory Management
Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation activities, and inventory audits.
Ensure accurate inventory transactions and movement records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate records, including bills of lading, goods receipts, packing lists, shipment manifests, and inventory documentation.
Performance & Financial Management
Achieve warehouse operational KPIs, including:
Track labor utilization, warehouse space utilization, and operational costs.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by verifying operational and financial data accuracy.
Execute customer billing activities in accordance with approved SOPs and contractual rate agreements.
Leadership & Employee Development
Direct, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve operational goals and individual performance objectives.
Establish performance goals, provide regular coaching, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
Manage attendance, payroll issues, disciplinary actions, and employee relations matters.
Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
Support talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, promotions, transfers, and employee development initiatives.
Ensure staffing levels are aligned with current and anticipated business demands.
Facility, Equipment & Safety Management
Oversee facility programs related to building maintenance, equipment maintenance, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Monitor warehouse equipment, storage systems, fixtures, IT hardware, printers, and infrastructure, escalating maintenance issues as needed.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies, operational procedures, and customer requirements.
Maintain working knowledge of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and material handling equipment.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Systems & Technology
Maintain advanced working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Utilize RF scanning technology, inventory reporting tools, and operational dashboards to monitor performance.
Maintain familiarity with Labor Management Systems (LMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and warehouse automation technologies.
Analyze operational data and KPI reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
Additional Responsibilities
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise up to 20 full-time employees and additional temporary staff as business needs require.
Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance management to assigned team members.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Minimum of seven (7) years of leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
Previous experience leading warehouse teams and conducting employee training.
TSA Screening Supervisor experience or equivalent air cargo security experience preferred.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control processes, and transportation documentation.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
Industry-related certifications or coursework are considered an asset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
Stand, stoop, kneel, sit, crawl and walk for extended periods of time
Push and pull loaded carts, pallet jacks and strollers
Lift and carry cartons, materials and wooden pallets at a minimum of 25 pounds
Use arms, hands, fingers and body to transport cartons, materials and wooden pallets
Use of senses to include hearing, talking, touching, feeling and vision. Specific vision abilities required include seeing clearly in both near and far distances

Working in dark trailers, aisles or walkways until proper lighting is employed
Slippery, wet or uneven surfaces.
