We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy, particularly in geriatrics and SNF/long term care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in patients, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills.
- Educate patients and families about speech disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in speech therapy practices.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient assessment techniques.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to improving quality of life for individuals with speech disorders.
